What SEO content writing covers here.
SEO content writing is the planning and writing of articles built to rank for specific search terms and to move a reader toward a sales conversation. Here it runs as a monthly service, from the keyword plan to the finished article.
Clients include Vodafone, Capgemini, Diageo, Sanofi, Shopware, Hailo and Fiverr.
What B2B marketing teams say about their current content.
-
Our agency sends 2,000-word articles that could be about any company.
Those articles are written from the top ten search results, and so are your competitors' articles. Here each article gets one thing the ranking pages do not have: a specific from your product lead, your support queue or your sales calls.
-
We rank for terms that bring readers, not buyers.
A term with 5,000 searches from students is worth less than one with 200 from procurement managers. In the keyword plan, I put the buyer terms first, even when their volume is lower.
-
We have a keyword list. We don't have anyone who can write about the topics properly.
That is a common starting point. Your experts know the topics but have no time to write. I interview one of them, build the articles from the transcript, and the expert checks the facts.
A quarterly plan, a monthly rhythm.
You approve the quarter's keyword list before anything is written. After that, every month runs the same way.
One interview and a fact check of each article. Around two hours.
Keyword plan
QuarterlyTerms are clustered by topic and scored on volume, difficulty and buying intent. I pick the terms by buyer intent, then order them by volume and difficulty. Each cluster gets a service page to link to.
What Google already ranks
Per articleFor each term, I compare the pages that rank: what they cover, what they all leave out, and how long the answer needs to be. The target length is set by what those pages cover.
One interview a month
MonthlyA 45-minute recorded call with one of your experts covers the month's four to eight topics. Examples, numbers and the most common customer mistake go into the articles.
What the questions look likeDraft, ready to publish
Per articleEach article comes with its title tag, meta description, heading structure, internal links to your service pages, and a suggested next step at the end.
Review and publish
Your teamEach article gets one review round, usually a fact check by the expert you interviewed. Then the article goes live on your schedule.
Ranking check
QuarterlyWhich articles moved, which stalled, and which older pieces need an update. The next quarter's plan is adjusted from the ranking data.
Monthly deliverables.
Articles start at $100 per 500 words. The monthly fee is fixed and quoted in writing after the free review or a 30-minute call. It depends on the number of articles, the number of calls and the deadline. No hourly billing. The monthly fee is agreed per quarter: the minimum is one quarter, then month to month.
What the monthly fee covers
- A keyword plan, with each cluster mapped to a service page
- A brief per article, built from the ranking pages
- 4-8 articles a month
- One recorded, transcribed expert interview
- Optional WordPress entry, formatted and scheduled
- A quarterly ranking check: what moved, what to update
Words per article
The typical range. Each article is as long as its search term requires.
To the first batch
From the approved keyword plan to the first set of articles.
An article opening, for a buyer term.
Most WMS comparisons for third-party logistics providers list features. The harder test: every client you sign brings its own labeling rules, returns process and cutoff time. Can the system absorb that without a change request?
Every vendor says yes to “does it support multi-client?” Ask what happens when client 40 needs a workflow that clients 1 to 39 do not.
This guide comes out of eleven implementations our operations team has run in the past two years. In hindsight, the six questions below would have predicted which projects went over budget. Question three alone would have saved one client four months.

When this works, and when it is money wasted.
A good fit
- You are a B2B marketing team with service pages for the articles to point to, and a sales process that can pick up a lead.
- You can plan in quarters. Rankings take months to move.
- One expert on your side can make time for a monthly call.
Probably not
- You need 40 articles a month with no input from your experts. A content platform is built for that volume.
- You publish consumer, affiliate or e-commerce content. The search intent and the economics are different.
- There are no service pages to link to yet. Start with website copy or the wider B2B copywriting services, so the articles have somewhere to send people.
Before you send a keyword list.
What is the difference between SEO content writing and SEO copywriting services?
SEO content writing is articles, guides and comparisons built to rank and inform. SEO copywriting is the selling pages, built to rank and convert. Both are offered here, and this page covers articles. Selling pages are under website copywriting.
How many articles a month do we need?
Usually fewer than you expect. Four well-targeted articles a month, each on a term you can win, usually do more than sixteen generic ones. I set the number in the keyword plan, so there is no quota.
Do you use AI?
Yes. The work is AI-powered, which is a big part of why a monthly batch needs only one call with your expert. AI handles the heavy lifting on keyword data, competitor pages, interview transcripts and first structures, so more of the time goes into the calls with your team and the argument. Prefer copy written without AI tools? That is available too. It simply takes longer. How AI fits the method
Do you do the keyword research, or do we bring a list?
Either. If you have a list, I check it for intent and difficulty before anything is written. If you do not, the first deliverable is a quarterly keyword plan built from search data and your competitors' rankings.
How long until the articles rank?
Typically three to six months for a site with some authority, and longer for a new domain. A specific position cannot be guaranteed. Every article targets a term with enough searches and realistic difficulty, and adds something the ranking pages leave out.
Do you only write for B2B?
Yes. The clients are software, IT services, consulting and agency firms, plus industrial suppliers.
